The movement is the heart of the watch, and we utilized the Seiko VK64 movement for several reasons. In the end, the key was to create an affordable luxury chronograph watch. Many other chronographs at this price point use cheaper Chinese movements to cut costs. Unfortunately, the quality control is not there, and up to half of the watches have to be shipped back to be replaced. The Seiko VK64 is made in Japan, with extremely precise engineering to create an incredibly robust movement. It is an example of the breakthrough meca-quartz technology, combining the extreme precision and accuracy of quartz technology, with the mechanical charm and complex charm of a mechanical chronograph. It truly is the best of both worlds.
